Information we collect

We may collect your name, email address, phone number, project address, suburb, property and decision-maker information, budget and timing ranges, project descriptions, real-estate listing links, and any plans, drawings, photographs, reports or other files you choose to provide. We also collect communication, consent and enquiry-status records.

When you visit or use the website, we and our service providers may also process technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source, security signals and cookie or analytics data. If you arrive through a campaign, we may keep the landing page, UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers with your enquiry so we can understand which campaign produced it.

How we use information

We use personal information to receive and match enquiry submissions, assess project scope and potential fit, request clarification, communicate next steps, provide and improve our services, maintain business records, protect our systems and comply with legal obligations.

Automated enquiry emails and marketing

Submitting a project enquiry may trigger an immediate receipt, a request for additional project-review information and one reminder if that information is not received. These messages support the enquiry you initiated and do not by themselves add you to a general marketing list. Ongoing marketing is sent only where you have separately agreed to receive it, and marketing emails include an unsubscribe option.

We use service providers to operate the website and handle enquiries:

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, contractors, technology providers or authorities where reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy or by law. Some providers may process information outside Australia. We do not sell personal information or make uploaded files publicly accessible.

04 / Safeguards

Security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards and limit access to people who need the information for a legitimate business purpose. No internet service is completely secure. We ordinarily retain a closed website-enquiry package for up to two years after closure, then delete it where it is no longer needed. Client, contract, accounting, insurance, warranty, complaint and dispute records may be transferred to our business record systems and kept for a different period where reasonably needed or required by law.

05 / QuoteCheck

Renovation QuoteCheck and automated reading

If you request a QuoteCheck report, we collect the contact and project details you enter, the two or three PDF quotes you upload, your separate report and marketing choices, and records needed to process, secure and deliver the report. The report request includes one related invitation to discuss the renovation with Bluestone. It does not add you to ongoing marketing unless you tick the separate optional marketing box.

How the documents are processed

Your PDFs are stored privately with Cloudflare and sent to OpenAI for automated document reading, including optical character recognition where a PDF is scanned. OpenAI is instructed to extract stated facts, page references and supporting evidence. Fixed comparison rules then check arithmetic and compare totals, GST treatment, allowances, provisional sums, exclusions, payment stages and common scope items. QuoteCheck does not choose a builder and the result is not legal, contract, engineering or quantity-surveying advice.

Retention

Identifiable uploaded quotes, contact details, extraction data and report files are scheduled for deletion or de-identification 30 days after submission. We may keep de-identified statistics, such as broad project type, postcode prefix and aggregated scope or allowance patterns, to improve future benchmarking. These statistics are not intended to identify you, your property or a quoting contractor. You can ask for earlier deletion, subject to records we must keep by law or a legitimate business need.

06 / Measurement

Cookies and analytics

We may use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity to understand website use, campaign performance and whether a submitted enquiry was successfully received. Clarity may create a reconstruction of clicks, taps, scrolling and page movement so we can identify repeated usability problems. Form inputs are masked, QuoteCheck file names and status messages are masked, and Clarity is not loaded on private lead, owner or completed-report pages. Analytics and advertising storage is enabled for Australian visitors. It remains denied by default in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, where end-user consent requirements apply.

Meta advertising measurement — Bluestone may use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure advertising and create limited audiences of people who have visited Bluestone pages. Meta may receive the page visited, event time, a random event ID, device and browser details, IP address and Meta browser identifiers. Bluestone does not send Meta your name, email address, phone number, street address, project description, budget answers, file names or uploaded-file contents through ordinary website events. Advertising tags are disabled where consent is required unless you choose to allow them. You can turn advertising cookies off at any time using Privacy choices on this website.

Use Privacy choices in the footer to change Analytics or Advertising separately. You can also manage or block cookies through your browser settings.

07 / Requests

Your choices and rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, request deletion where appropriate, or opt out of marketing communications. We may need to retain some records where required by law or legitimate business needs.
